How the bike looked when purchased, In fair condition. Engine is excellent. 
As always we start by stripping the bike to the frame for all parts to be inspected, cleaned, 
painted, polished and replaced where required.

Total project time - 4 months to complete.


How the bike stands when purchased in August 2007

 

The Stripdown 
Work begins
November 8th November 2007, The bike is stripped part by part
After the engine is fully serviced, carbs balanced and syncronised and running sweet. 
Everything removed, ready to restore, refurbish or be replaced


10th November 2007:
Down to motor and frame

3rd December 2007:
Frame stripped & spray painted Silver Metallic, Engine stripped & painted in Satin Black.
90% of parts now stripped and in process of restore, paint or replace where required.

20th December 2007:
Restored and painted parts fitted. Top yoke, Handlebars and risers modified to straight & polished.
All nuts, bolts & washers replaced with Chrome & Anodised. Wiring loom cropped back.
Clocks removed and replaced with electronic streetfighter unit.
Ignition coils coated in Satin black and fitted with Red & Gold anodised fixings.
All other bits polished or painted in Satin black and fitted.
Hoses stripped and re blacked, new clips etc.
Coolant bottle coated in Satin black and fitted with custom made Chrome tubular fixing bracket.
Left and right foot controls stripped and painted in Metallic silver to match the frame.
Brake calipers stripped, serviced and coated in Gold Metallic.

30th December 2007:
More bits put back on the bike. Rear wheel, Chain guard, Rear brake all stripped, re-painted and fitted.
Chain and Sprockets hot soaked, scrubbed, lubricated and refitted.

Exhaust system slightly modified, polished and refitted.
Engine casing bolts replaced with new Chrome, Red and Gold Hex & allen head fixings.
Again as with everything, all nuts, bolts & washers replace with new.

9th January 2008:
More bits put back on the bike. Front wheel and mudguard re-painted.
The bodywork panels painted polished and decaled.

12th January 2008:
Bike is almost complete. New Demon nose cone wired & fitted with new Chrome brackets.
All other bits of paintwork touched up and finished ready for final polishing.

22nd January 2008:
Bike is almost complete and in the final stages.
Modified exhaust system makes it sound as good as it looks!

26th January 2008:
Project now complete. The finished bike.
