Ladies and Gentlemen, this is - "Suckin' Gas"

Another new steed arrives at the stable
(Because Ade wants a to build a custom bobber to ride for the Summer)

We bought this bike with the intention of a full ground up rebuild to be completed within 3 - 4 weeks!
Everything had to be stripped for fabrication, polishing, chroming, paint etc etc...

How the bike stands April 2010

The Strip down..  
Work begins April 2010
Strip the bike to bits, sort everything for polishing, paint, chrome, replacement

Preparing & design of the custom paint scheme  
We decided on a Blue and Black Scallop theme with Silver pin striping and a hint of Silver flake in the lacquer to bring it alive.
After everything is filled, prepared and primered, we can work on the stages of paint and lacquer.

Frame and Engine  
The frame is re painted in Gloss black, the engine is stripped and finished in Satin Black.

Wheels  
Both wheels are re chromed and finish the hubs in Satin Black, then laced with stainless spokes.
We polish each individual spoke on both wheels!

Front end and detailing
The front forks are polished along with the top yoke.
We replace the brake lines with braided hoses and stainless banjos.
We replace all the Nuts and bolts with Polished stainless spike nuts where required.
Brake and Clutch levers are polished along with the fluid reservoirs. Right and left switch gear are coated in Satin black.
Billet spike grips are fitted on the 2 inch thick ape bars.

Rear end and detailing
As with everything else on the bike, all the rear end is polished where required, braided hoses fitted and new huge rear shocks.
The shaft cover is polished and also the rear brake calliper. All finished in Polished stainless spike nuts throughout.
New custom tail light, new chromed fender bars and new chromed side panels.

The bike complete. Fitted with the new chrome pipes, cut down and slashed. Footboards
Everything newly chromed including the footboards, Headlight, brake lever, brackets etc etc.
Everything that's stainless is mirror polished. Spike nuts throughout the bike.
Built in record time of only 3 weeks! It rides and sounds incredible!!
